Why Wendy created Retreat Incubator

Over the last several years, it’s the question Wendy has been asked again and again — how do you take people somewhere in the world and create an experience that feels intentional, sacred, seamless, profitable and deeply transformational?

Retreat Incubator is her answer: a year of teaching you how she creates and facilitates transformational experiences — and then creating one together.

Who is this for?

If there is something inside of you that knows you are meant to gather people… to create experiences, to lead adventures, to facilitate transformation, to bring people back to their aliveness — and maybe even take them somewhere in this beautiful world they never imagined they would go.

Do I need retreat experience?

“I am not looking for perfect resumes. I am looking for people who are willing to learn, create, stretch, practice, lead and become more capable of holding what they say they want to create.”

Is travel included?

Specific inclusions and travel-related details will be clearly outlined in your enrollment agreement.

What does tuition include?

Your tuition includes the complete one-year Retreat Incubator experience, twice-monthly training modules, private community access, facilitator training, Human Design training/certification, business and operational resources, participation in our cohort retreat, professional digital marketing assets and the creation of your retreat landing page.

What is the time commitment?

Beginning in January, the cohort meets twice each month for two-hour immersive learning modules. Between modules you’ll have space to practice, integrate and build, and you’ll stay connected through a private Telegram community.

How does the cohort retreat work?

Every participant creates a mock retreat concept — location, theme, experiences, itinerary, budget, pricing and transformational arc — and presents it to the cohort. Together, we vote. Taking the group’s response into consideration, Wendy makes the final selection. Then we create that retreat together, in a real destination, and you help facilitate it.

Depending on the retreat selected and the circumstances surrounding it, additional attendees may be invited — or the experience may remain within the cohort.

What Human Design certification is included?

Wendy will teach you Human Design and certify you in the methodology she teaches, so you can begin incorporating these principles into the experiences you create.

What happens after I apply?

If appropriate, Wendy or her team will connect with you for a conversation. Next comes enrollment — the details and your agreement. The cohort begins in January.

The curriculum

Beginning in January, our intimate cohort will meet twice each month for two-hour immersive learning modules. Between modules, you will have space to practice, integrate and build. We will also stay connected through a private Telegram community where questions, ideas, challenges and breakthroughs can happen in real time.

But the magic of this program is that you will be building your retreat while you are learning how to lead one.

The module

The Art of Holding the Room

There is something very different about organizing a retreat and holding one. We will explore what it means to create a sacred container where people feel safe enough to soften, play, explore, connect and transform.

We will work with the places where leadership brings up:

Imposter syndrome · Visibility · Responsibility · Fear of failure · Money · Receiving · Capacity · Control · Self-sabotage

Because the size of the experience you can hold externally is deeply connected to the capacity you have created internally.

The process

And then… we build the retreat.

Every participant will create a mock retreat concept using what we have learned. You will develop the location, theme, experiences, itinerary, budget, pricing and transformational arc.

Then you will present your retreat to the cohort. Together, we will vote. Taking the group’s response into consideration, Wendy will make the final selection.

And then… we are going to create that retreat together. A real retreat. In a real destination. And you will help facilitate it.

Depending on the retreat we select and the circumstances surrounding it, we may invite additional attendees—or the experience may remain within our cohort.

Either way, you won’t finish this program wondering whether you could actually do this. You will have done it.

Why I created Retreat Incubator

Over the last several years, one of the questions I have been asked again and again is: “Will you teach me how you do this?”

How do you take people somewhere in the world—sometimes somewhere you have never even been yourself—and create an experience that feels intentional, sacred, seamless, profitable and deeply transformational?

And perhaps most importantly… how do you become the person capable of holding all of it?

That is why I created Retreat Incubator. This is not simply a course about hosting retreats. And it definitely isn’t a year of sitting on Zoom talking about what you might do someday.

For one year, I am going to teach you how I create and facilitate transformational experiences around the world—and then we are actually going to create one together.
